Community Connect Foundation has secured funding to encourage young people aged 10 to 18 to reach their potential as individuals.The post holder will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating homework support classes, providing information, advice and guidance to young people, organising holiday projects and establishing a young people’s forum.
This is an exciting post in the development of our work with young people. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Youth and Community Project Coordinator to develop further and on-going youth activities for the project. The post holder will need to identify avenues of sustaining activities through mainstream funding; establish partnership links with service providers and youth provisions. Also establish a young person’s volunteering programme.
Our ideal candidate will be experienced in youth and community work, have a thorough understand of issues affecting young people from deprived inner-city areas, have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and some experience of fundraising.
