The Building Better Opportunities programme is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund who are co-investing in local projects tackling the root causes of worklessness, promoting social inclusion and driving local jobs and growth.

Family Matters is one of four projects within this programme across the Black Country and will help people across Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Sandwell move into or closer to employment by developing their skills and confidence.

Family Matters is managed by the Black Country Together CIC in partnership with 16 local organisations across the Black Country.

Sandwell Consortium is one of those partners. We will offer FREE support to individuals who are aged over 15 years old to develop their skills and secure employment. Activities include:

  • One-to-one mentoring
  • Numeracy and literacy courses
  • Access to childcare
  • Benefit check
  • Job Club
  • CV and Application Form support
  • Interview preparation
  • Volunteer opportunities.
