Mental Health Day

Celebration Event Delivered in partnership with SWEDA, Life Balance Community Arts CIC & Ranbir Arts

The World Mental Health Day Celebration Event that was held at SWEDA on 3rd October 2017. The event was held to raise the awareness of wide range of Mental Health issues that people are facing both at work and also in their personal lives.

The event gave information about sources of help and support available to people experiencing Mental Health issues and showed them through practical workshops how Arts & Crafts can be used to reduce levels of stress and anxiety and improve general health and well-being.


Guest Speaker Mina Rayat  (LBCA CIC Ambassador )

Mina Rayat shared her personal story about losing her young son just over a ago and her journey to improve her mental health and well-being. She also highlighted some important issues on mental health & bullying amongst the young people and how families, friends and young people can support each other.
